UV Light Stabilizer

Light induces degradation of plastics which may not only modify them visually but also exert a detrimental influence on mechanical properties and physical appearance. The inhibition of these degradations has considerable technical and commercial importance. These have been achieved through addition of light stabilizers or UV stabilizers. UV Light stabilizers are chemical compounds capable of interfering with the physical and chemical processes of light-induced degradation. Light stabilizers are generally used in concentrations of 0.05% to 2%. The inherent stability of the resin to be stabilized, the application requirement and the presence of other additives in the formulation does govern the type of UV additive and addition rates. Sidma Polymers offers various types of light stabilizers for application specific requirements. For further information, please contact info@sidmapolymers.com or call at +91 9740063670
