Permanent Antistat

Traditional internal chemical antistats are migratory additives. The compound migrates on to the surface and via hydrogen bonding with atmospheric water, creates a microscopic layer of water on the surface. Thus chemical antistats are dependent on atmospheric moisture to dissipate static electricity. Permanent antistat forms immediate continuous non-fugitive 3D network within the host polymer structure. It is largely independent of relative ambient humidity conditions. They form a percolating network and therefore fairly high loadings are required. The masterbatch needs to be added at 20-40% in the final product.
